Court of audit approves hydrocarbon contracts for the exploration southwest of Crete
The court of audit has approved the hydrocarbon explorations southwest of Crete. The explorations can start as soon as the contracts are approved from the greek parliament. After the approval from the parliament certain technical, environmental and geophysical studies will be conducted. The area under approval is 19.868 southwest and 20.058 square km west of Crete. Note that the competition was announced in December 2017 after the interest of Total, Exxonmobil and Helpe.
